Designed and based in Pukekohe, New Zealand, Baya creates high quality rugs, throws and cushions with a considered, refined, and purposeful approach. Guided by an appreciation of aesthetics and craft, pieces are created in collaboration with skilled artisans, featuring natural fibres, luxurious fabrics, and distinctive finishes.
Baya celebrates being a family run business for the past 80 years. Today the family legacy continues, four generations on, on aspects of their textiles from sourcing, designing and manufacturing. All their rugs proudly carry the GoodWeave certification, an organization that is working to end child labour and uphold healthy working conditions for weavers in the floor rug and textile industry.
